Inter-School V-Log & Short Film Contest

iRoots College is organizing an Inter-School V-Log and Short Video Contest on 24 November 2025. This dual-format competition is designed to promote creativity, character building, and social awareness among students, offering them a dynamic platform to express their ideas through digital storytelling and visual impact.

Important Dates

S.No Event Date & Time Description
1 Deadline of Registration 01 Nov 2025, 11:55 p.m. Registration will be done via the provided QR code.
2 Training Session 03 Nov 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon The training session will be held at Wisdom Square Auditorium, iRoots College. Open only to registered participants free of cost.
3 Submission Deadline 17 Nov 2025, 11:55 p.m. Submissions must be communicated via WhatsApp or email.
4 Prize Distribution Ceremony 24 Nov 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Award-winning videos and Vlogs will be shown to the audience before the award distribution ceremony.

Participation Categories

Schools may choose to participate in either or both of the following categories:

1. V-Log Competition

  • Eligibility: Students of Grade IX & X (Matric) or O Levels
  • Duration: 2–4 minutes
  • Team Size: Individual or up to 4 students per V-Log (roles may include research, scripting, presentation, videography, editing, graphics, etc.)
  • Topics: Students may select from the suggested list (enclosed).
  • Submission Deadline: 22 November 2025
  • Submission Mode: Email at info@irootscollege.com or WhatsApp at 03331006617.

2. Short Video Competition

  • Eligibility: Students of Grade IX & X (Matric) or O Levels
  • Duration: 90–120 seconds
  • Team Size: Individual or up to 4 students
  • Format: Narrative, informative, or creative shorts (dialogue optional; visual storytelling encouraged)
  • Topics: Students may select from the suggested list (enclosed).
  • Submission Deadline: 17 November 2025
  • Submission Mode: Same as above

Registration: A participant/team can participate in ONE category only. Registration can be done through the given QR Code.

Evaluation & Recognition:

  • Shields for Top 3 entries in each category
  • Certificates for all participants

Please note: While iRoots College students will also submit entries for learning purposes, they will not contest for the awards to ensure fairness.

Topics For the V-Log & Short Film Contest

Participants may choose one topic from the following categories for their V-Log (2–4 minutes) and one topic for the Short Video (90-120 seconds).

  • True Knowledge vs. Information: What should we seek?

B. Gaza of Palestine:

  1. What do Palestinian children dream of becoming in the future?

D. Study Skills & Exam Preparation:

Short Video Competition Judging Rubric

Scoring Levels (per criterion):

  • Excellent (95% and above): Clear, strong, inspiring, well-produced.
  • Good (75%-89%): Relevant, mostly clear, minor weaknesses.
  • Average (60%-74%): Minor irrelevancy, complete message, minor delivery mistake.
  • Fair (50%-59%): Some relevance, message incomplete, weak delivery.
  • Needs Improvement (49% and below): Off-topic, unclear, poorly executed.

Recognition:

  • Awards: Shields for the top three V-Logs & top three Short Videos
  • Certificates: For all participants
