Social Media Policy
To maintain a professional, respectful, and secure learning environment, all members of the iRoots College community, including faculty, staff, and students, are expected to follow the guidelines below when using social media.
- Professional Conduct: All users must engage responsibly on social media. Posts, comments, and interactions should reflect the values and reputation of iRoots College. Behavior that undermines the integrity of the institution is not acceptable.
- Respect and Boundaries: Avoid sharing or engaging with content that is discriminatory, offensive, or harmful toward any individual or group, including fellow students, teachers, staff, or the institution itself.
- Confidentiality: Never share confidential or sensitive information on social media. This includes academic records, internal discussions, private communications, and any proprietary college content.
- Student–Teacher Interactions: Maintain appropriate boundaries in all online interactions.
- Academic or official matters should only be discussed via college-approved channels.
- Personal communication between students and staff via social media should remain limited, respectful, and professional.
- Use of College Identity: Use the iRoots College name, logo, uniform, or branding for personal accounts or unofficial purposes only with prior written approval from the management.
- Privacy and Consent: Do not post photos, videos, or recordings of students, staff, or college events without clear written consent from the individuals involved.
- Cyberbullying and Harassment: Any form of online bullying, harassment, or hate speech, whether direct or indirect, is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action, including possible suspension or expulsion.
- Personal Opinions vs. Institutional Representation: When expressing personal views online, all members must clearly state they are not speaking on behalf of iRoots College. The separation of personal and institutional opinions must be respected at all times.

Dignity and Respect Policy
At iRoots College, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of our community including faculty, non-teaching staff, and students. Harassment in any form is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated
- Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to prevent harassment in both the workplace and learning environment, and to ensure that all individuals at iRoots College are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
- Scope: This policy applies to all faculty, non-teaching staff, and students. It covers behavior that occurs:
- On college premises
- During college-related activities (both on- and off-campus)
- On all official digital communication platforms
- Definition of Harassment: Harassment is any unwelcome verbal, written, visual, or physical conduct that:
- Creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive academic or work environment
- Interferes with an individual’s learning or work performance
- Undermines a person’s dignity, well-being, or sense of safety
Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Verbal abuse or slurs based on gender, religion, ethnicity, or personal characteristics
- Inappropriate or indecent remarks or gestures
- Bullying, threats, or intimidation, whether in person or online
- Spreading malicious rumors or false accusations
- Indecent remarks, stalking, or unwelcome advances
- Reporting Procedure: Any faculty member, staff, or student who experiences or witnesses harassment is strongly encouraged to report it to one of the following:
- Immediate supervisor, class teacher, or academic coordinator
- Admin department or discipline coordinator
- The Designated Harassment Inquiry Committee
All reports will be treated with confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Investigation and Disciplinary Action: Every complaint will be investigated fairly, promptly, and without bias. If harassment is confirmed, appropriate action will be taken, which may include:
- Verbal or written warning
- Suspension from employment or academic activities
- Termination of employment or cancellation of admission
- Legal action, if warranted
- Protection from Retaliation: No individual will face retaliation for reporting harassment in good faith. Any act of retaliation, direct or indirect, against a complainant or witness will be considered a serious violation of this policy.
